Gas Tank

Gas tank, fuel pump, and gas filler tube – these are parts that are not needed on an electric car. The gas tank is located in the front luggage compartment. 

The round contour in the lower left corner of the tank is designed to fit the collapsible spare tire.



Clockwise from the top: Gas tank, skid plate, fuel pump, tank ventilation junction box, filler neck and gas cap, and AC condenser blower.

 

 I will need to make a panel to close up the opening left by the removal of the gas tank.  The 20 gallon (75 liters) vessel takes up a fair volume of space. I’m hoping to mount 20 of the 56 batteries in this space.
